Dara has always had an unusual compassion for the homeless. She would always ask to give money to every homeless person she saw on the streets.
One morning, while walking with her mum in central London, CareGirl Founder, Dara, often referred to as the "Care Girl", then aged 6, observed a number of homeless people and was so moved by their situation that she made up her mind to do something to make a difference and care for the poor when she gets older (as well as being a fashionista and part-time dentist!)
Dara came up with the idea of giving the homeless not only money but supplies to help them to be a little bit more comfortable. So with the help of her parents, Dara would buy items such as socks, gloves, hats, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary towels etc packed in bags and then given out to people on the streets.
Encouraged by the joy in the eyes of the people she deeply cares for, she decided to start CareGirl.org, to take on the cause to care for more people and she invites the whole world to support her.
Thanks to generous donations from friends, family and good samaritans worldwide, she has been getting and distributing sleeping bags, toiletries, hats, gloves and socks and snacks to the homeless.
Dara plans to continue to care for the poor and homeless and dreams of a day where she can help to reach more poor and homeless people all over the world and encourage more children and adults through her CareGirl.org organization to also care for the poor.
